POST-CONVENTION: After the farewell banquet, with the early flight back home in the morning (7 am departure), I decided to make an all-nighter and enjoy the last evening in Stavanger. Denise Logeland (Minneapolis, MN) decided to join me; and for a while Darla Thompson (Cedar Rapids, IA) did too. We started out by leaving the hotel and walking in Gamel Stavanger (Old Town) and the harbor district. We went back to hotel for a break and change of clothes and after sitting down Darla decided to turn in. This left Denise and myself with the young crowd at the harbor area which seem to go on till 4 o'clock in the morning. We continued walking the town till about 5 a.m. and went back to our rooms in the hotel to finish-up packing and head for the airport. Back in my room I caught the beautiful sunrise with the mountains around Stavanger silhouetted in the background. We had made it to the airport just in time to get our tax refunds and I bought some aquavit in the duty free shop. Then we were off to Amsterdam and then Minneapolis. After a short spell in Minneapolis, I continued on back to DFW.

What a trip, I enjoyed every minute and hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures.
