SUNDAY CONTINUED: More views of the Utstein Kloster and the return trip home to the convention hotel.

After the Utstein Kloster tour, and after a brief stop to catch-up on the convention activities, Darla Thompson (Cedar Rapids, IA), invited the "Texas Posse" to a choral concert South of Stavanger, in which one of her relatives was participating in. Ellen Kyllingstad, another of Darla's relatives drove us out there. The church was located just inshore from the Western coast of Norway at Orre, and is named Årre Gamle Kirke or The Orre Old Church, which is from the Middle Ages. This church once was a private church, belonging to the farm next door. - Takk Darla

Gus and I then left the hotel to go back to our guest house we were staying at on the other side of the lake.
