GEORGETOWN, TX-

Before the official openig of the festival, the different organizations and participating vendors were busy early Saturday morning setting-up their booths and prepairing for the day's rush.

THE PARADE

The Festivities of the 2000 Viking Fest kicked-off with a parade of the grounds with the entertainers and other Viking Fest entertainers, those wearing traditional Scandinavian dress we invited to participate too. The parade concluded with the opening ceremonies in the Entertainment Tent which started with each Nordic country's national athem.

Viking Fest, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and contributions are tax deductible to the extend allowed by law. Proceeds from each Viking Fest are used to promote and preserve our Nordic heritage and history in Texas.
